“DeRito for Congress” Announces Official Campaign Launch in Colorado’s 8th Congressional District
Evans, CO - Adam DeRito announced the official launch of his campaign for the United States House of Representatives in Colorado’s 8th Congressional District.
An Army veteran, community advocate, and proven leader, DeRito enters the race with a mission to restore accountability in Washington and give the people of Colorado a voice that reflects their values of faith, freedom, and hard work.
His announcement took place at the Rush Event Center in Evans, CO, where he spoke about American exceptionalism, triumph, and restoring the American Dream.
“On December 7, 1941, America proved that in our darkest moments, we find our greatest strength by standing together as one people. Today, our country faces a different kind of challenge, one of division, distrust, and leaders who have forgotten who they work for."
DeRito continued, “I am running for Congress because the people of Colorado’s 8th District deserve a representative who will fight for them with the same devotion our forefathers showed when America needed them most. I am asking my neighbors, my fellow veterans, and every family in this district to join me as we unite to build a stronger future for our children and our country.”
DeRito, a U.S. Army Reserve Civil Affairs officer, former military intelligence analyst, and Special Forces parachute rigger, said his campaign will focus on restoring trust between the people and their government, strengthening American energy independence, securing the border, supporting working families, and ensuring veterans receive the care they have earned.
As a blue-collar union member with ties to agriculture, energy, and working-class communities from Greeley to Commerce City, he brings firsthand experience with the challenges facing the district.
The campaign is now building its volunteer team and preparing a schedule of public events and listening sessions across the district.
